...o meglio, l'insalatina.All'inizio di ottobre, abbiamo tolto tutto quello che c'era ancora nell'orto, convinti che il primo gelo non avrebbe tardato ad arrivare. Peccato che, all'inizio di gennaio, quella prima gelata non sia ancora arrivata...
Comunque, in giardino c'è anche una piccola serra, che era del vecchio proprietario e che abbiamo riparato durante l'estate (un paio di pannelli si erano rotti e la porta non chiudeva bene). Così, ci siamo lanciati in un nuovo esperimento. Non siamo di certo dei veterani dell'orto estivo, ma questa è per noi proprio una cosa nuova. Il primo successo è questa verdissima misticanza, che, sarà la stagione, sarà il fatto che è di produzione propria, ci è sembrata molto più buona di quella del supermercato.
In a corner of our garden there's a small greenhouse. It belonged to the previous owner and we fixed it during the summer, replacing a few broken panes and the repairing the door, which did not close well anymore. And that's how this new experiment started. Gardening in the middle of winter, hoping to produce something for the table. The first result is this tender salad. To us, it tasted much better than the one we normally buy at the supermarket, surely because of the season, or maybe because we've grown it ourselves.
